Recycle your old phones, iPads, laptops, gaming consoles, and other used electronics to generate funds for Bridge of Life!
How does it work? Bridge of Life partners with DaVita Inc.’s environmental and sustainability program, DaVita Village Green, and with a local company, Cellular Recycler, in Colorado that recycles cell phones and other small electronics. Cellular Recycler is able to recycle broken and used cell phones (personal or work phones) and safely remove all data through a secure three-step process. The cell phone recycling program is free to anyone who participates (shipping is free as well!). Money raised from the recycling process benefits Bridge of Life’s programs, and you can receive a tax deduction without hitting your wallet!

“You have to think outside of the box. Look at your community, and contact any large businesses, schools, hotels, malls, casinos, amusment parks, etc. They all have some sort of lost and found department. It doesn’t hurt to ask. Bridge of Life is near and dear to me because of another village I belong to: I am a Mohegan Tribal member. Being Native American predisposes me to diabetes which is one of the leading causes of kidney disease. When I learned about the Cellular Recycler program, I knew I needed to go back to Connecticut and figure out how to arrange for the Mohegan Sun Casino’s lost and found phones to be recycled to benefit Bridge of Life…and i was able to connect with the general manager (also a Mohegan Tribal member) and get the lost and found phones at Mohegan Sun’s other location at Pocono Downs recycled.”
