As part of Bridge of Life (BOL)’s focus on prevention, our Screening & Prevention program was created to benefit the more than 20 million American adults living with chronic kidney disease (CKD), as well as the 506,000 Americans with kidney failure that require dialysis or a kidney transplant. BOL helps to increase awareness of kidney disease through public education and testing programs so that progression of CKD to kidney failure can be delayed or prevented.
Bridge of Life’s philosophy is that everyone should be empowered to take a proactive role in their health. Toward that end, we seek to reduce the progression of CKD through free, rapid screenings in non-medical settings.
Bridge of Life’s Chronic Disease Prevention Program prevents and controls kidney disease and its root causes through screening and health education.
