U.S. Training in Vascular Access for Guatemalan Surgeons

This project will equip Guatemalan physicians with advanced interventional skills in dialysis vascular access management through an observership at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. A Guatemalan nephrologist and vascular surgeon will return to Guatemala to establish sustainable quality improvement programs, reduce patient catheter dependence, and train local healthcare professionals at the country’s new access hospital in Villa Nueva.
