Guatemalan Surgeons Training Program: US Clinical Observation
Guatemala – 2/23 – 2/27
Bridge of Life is proud to support two Guatemalan surgeons as they participate in a clinical training observership in Greenville, Mississippi.
This program is in partnership with Guatemala’s Ministry of Health and is part of a broader effort to build the country’s first dedicated vascular access hospital. Through this immersive experience, the surgeons will work alongside U.S. clinicians, observe advanced surgical techniques, and gain exposure to best practices in dialysis access and kidney care.
The ultimate goal is to strengthen local surgical capacity in Guatemala, ensuring patients have improved access to high-quality, life-saving care. By investing in training and mentorship, this partnership helps create a sustainable model for long-term impact: empowering local providers to lead and expand access services in their own communities.
